~ My Style ~

Just wanted to put up a few photos that help describe my style a little better than words can. Extreme simplicity with a heavy focus on the detailing. I have a wide variety of different styles, it really just depends on how I'm feeling that day to be honest. Later in the week my great friend & fellow blogger, Njeri and I will be doing some adventuring around the city to get a few good shots. Hopefully, I can throw some more colors and patterns in there for you guys but for now I hope these looks can inspire some of your plain & simple kinda days.

~ lovely to meet you ~

Hey everyone! First and foremost, thanks for having an interest and checking out my blog! I guess the best way to start this off is to give you a little background about myself.

I'm from Absecon, New Jersey, a very small town right outside of Atlantic City. I'm currently attending FIDM in downtown LA with merchandise marketing as my major. I recently started my second year and things are going well. I work two retail jobs in Hollywood (American Eagle and Urban Outfitters). I'm hoping to get a sales associate/styling position at The Shop on Melrose in the near future. I have a seventeen year old brother, and we live with my mom and step-dad when I'm home. Here in LA I have a two bedroom apartment in Mid-City with three roommates and it's absolutely amazing.

This amazing city has so much to offer and in my spare time my favorite thing to do is go to the beach. Malibu is my favorite but I love visiting different beaches all up and down the west coast! I'm in love with nature and traveling. My favorite city that I've been to so far is San Francisco and I highly suggest everyone visits at least once in their life. I love to camp, hike, just go somewhere scenic and admire the view, anything outdoorsy is fine with me. I love music and I've really been liking Indie/folk lately. I enjoy going to concerts (when I can afford them) and I have a book of all my tickets from every concert I've ever been to. I love cooking and trying new recipes! I can bet you a thousand dollars I make the best empanadas you've ever had in your life.

Obviously I love fashion and shopping. I'd have to say my top five go to stores at the moment (both on-line & brick and morder) would be...

1. Free People
2. Urban  Outfitters
3. Planet Blue
4. Forever 21/H&M
5. Anthropologie

So as you're probably able to tell my style is very boho/beachy, but at the same time edgy and a little bit on the alternative side. Sometimes it's a little on the sweet/girly side but I always love to mix styles to balance things out like like a black leather jacket with a white chiffon flowy dress (soft & edgy at the same time) OR super distressed jeans with a flannel wrapped around my waist, ankle gladiator sandals and a crochet tank top (edgy & beachy). There's a lot more and I'm not going to go too much into detail because you'll get to know my style more and more as this blog progresses.

I have some big ideas that I'm pretty excited about and can't wait to share with you guys! I'll try to get more posts up A.S.A.P. but feel free to email me at anytime, let me know what you think, suggestions, i'd love to hear you guys' thoughts!

xoxo k. ~
